Leadership & Experience Working For You!

Candidate Bob Broom

"Effective public transportation is critical for the economic vitality of Colorado."

My name is Bob Broom, and I am committed to improving public transportation to maintain the excellent quality of life we enjoy here in Colorado. Clean air and water are a top priority, and I worked for them while serving on the Board of the Denver Regional Council of Governments for eight years. In 2014, I was appointed by Governor John Hickenlooper to the Denver Metropolitan Area Regional Clean Air Council.

I have also served as Chairman of the Denver Metropolitan Wastewater Reclamations District Board, on the Board of the Cherry Creek Basin Authority, and on the Colorado Department of Transportation Regional Transportation Commission.

It is an exciting time for Aurora with the opening of the R line later this year. The University of Colorado Medical Center will shuttle riders from the station to their destinations on the Anschutz campus.  I will lead a pubic-private collaboration to provide a similar service around the Aurora City Center and the Community College of Aurora. RTD must continually seek creative solutions to the issue of covering “the last mile” of a trip.

I am pleased to be endorsed by Tom Tobiassen, Chair of the RTD Board of Directors and Aurora Mayor Steve Hogan.

Please join me by supporting my candidacy for the RTD Board of Directors with your vote!
